Our Story

My name is Anna-Lisa Chacon, but you can call me AL. Originally from Santa Cruz, CA, I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest while attending college in Southern Oregon. I spent my formative post-college years in Seattle working my way up the restaurant ladder. I spent most of my years as a young General Manager of the acclaimed Rachel Yang restaurant Joule. I caught the travel bug in 2016 and spent the next few years traveling the country with Outstanding in the Field, the original farm-to-table experience. This had me engaging and creating community with chefs, farmers, and service workers all over the country. Settling in Portland in 2019, I quickly fell in as the GM of Kachka, and what started as a job soon became a family.

Being apart of the Portland hospitality community has been a highlight of my career. “Community over competition” has been such a through line for me, and one that I want to share. I am tired of seeing great restaurants and bars close. I want to be part of the solution and help this community thrive.
